All classes and laboratory courses will be conducted strictly in English.

Working Hours

Monday - Friday : 8:45 am to 5.00 pm The Institutes will remain closed on Sundays,Alternet Saturdays and on holidays as per the academic calendar of the Institutes.

Orientation Programme

All students will undergo 15 days orientation programme which is a familiarization/ preparatory programme to achieve the following objectives: m To improve self-confidence, communication skill, interpersonal skills, memory power, creative thinking, reflexes through gymnastic and will power. m To understand the importance of teamwork, cooperation and coordination. m To induct the trainees to the culture of NTTF and the Institute. m To introduce various production process through industrial visits.

Attendance

90% attendance in each semester is compulsory. Parents are advised to take a special note of this.

Stationery

All articles like exercise books, pencils, drawing instrument box, set square, foot-rules, scientific calculators etc. will have to purchased by the trainees. Few specialized instruments may be purchased under the guidance of the concerned technical staff.

Uniform

Trainees are required to wear safety shoes in the workshop as well as the prescribed colour uniform of good quality during working hours. Uniforms will have to be purchased by the trainees and made as per the specification laid down by the Institute after admission formalities have beencompleted.

Co-Curricular Activities

A system has been established to conduct co-curricular and extracurricular activities like Lab-talk,Shop-talk, Quality circles, Technical enrichment programmes, Study tours,Village camps, Cultural/sports & gamesactivities etc.

Leave and Vacation

Leave is granted only in exceptional cases for which prior permission of the Principal is essential. The Institute closes for trainees as mentioned in the Institution’s Annual Calendar and official holidays as declared by the State Government.

Educational Tour

After completion of the fifth semester and before the start of the sixth semester, trainees are required to undertake an Educational Tour and visit various industries in the country. The tour is compulsory and the traveling expenditure on Rail/Bus fare is borne by the students.

Rules Book

A booklet entitled “Rules & Regulations for Trainees” containing Code of Conduct, Academic Discipline, Examination Procedures, Leave Rules, Hostel Rules etc. will be issued to the selected candidates for their information and strict compliance.

Declaration

At the time of Admission a declaration to the effect that the trainee will faithfully abide by the rules and regulations of the Institute and a guarantee from parents that they would be willing to make good any loss or damage caused to the property is to be furnished in the prescribed form of declaration.

Tests & Examination

Periodic tests are held during the semester to assess the progress of the trainees,in practical as well as in theory subjects.Semester tests are conducted every six months for promotion to the next higher semester.
