Department of
Computer Engineering

The Department of Computer Engineering at ATTC, established in 2009, is one of the five engineering departments. It initially introduced a Diploma in Computer Application in 2006 with 25 students but transitioned to Computer Engineering in 2009 to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals. Since its inception, the department has achieved steady growth, creating a vibrant academic environment. The department offers an AICTE-approved, NBA-accredited Diploma in Computer Engineering (DCE) program with over 100 students and 7+ faculty members. Faculty actively publish research papers in national and international journals and participate in conferences and workshops. The department also releases its newsletter, Attconnections, to keep students informed. Students gain practical exposure through industry visits to companies like Sikkim Milk, NIC, BSNL, and IIT Guwahati. Final-year students complete a month-long industrial internship. Regular training programs on IoT, mobile applications, and networks enhance learning. Additionally, village camps allow students to work with local communities. Graduates secure placements in companies like Demi Solutions and WebSkitters, while many pursue higher studies or launch startups. Future initiatives include faculty workshops, student coaching, software club activities, and research publications, ensuring continuous academic and professional growth.
