The Department of Mechatronics integrates Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics engineering, providing students with expertise in all three fields. This multidisciplinary approach enables them to handle diverse tasks efficiently. Our faculty includes M-Tech holders in Mechatronics, Power Electronics, and Digital Electronics, with research publications in international journals. They regularly attend training and conferences for continuous learning. We offer advanced laboratories, including PLC, a newly upgraded Robotics Lab, CIM, and state-of-the-art CNC machines. Practical learning is emphasized through structured project work—Micro Projects in the first year, Mini Projects in the second year, and Major Projects in the final year. Final-year students also undergo a one-month Winter Industrial Training at reputed industries like IDTR, IGTR, and Tata Motors, ensuring industry exposure. Second-year students participate in industrial visits to companies like Renault Nissan and Tata Motors. Our alumni have excelled in various fields, with some becoming entrepreneurs, such as Mr. Pema Wongyal Denzongpa (Citi Computers) and Mr. Pukar Pandey (Sikkim Techno Solutions). Others have secured positions in reputed companies in India and abroad. Students also participate in project exhibitions, competitions at IIT Delhi, debates, and extracurricular activities, ensuring a holistic development beyond technical education.
To produce competent Mechatronics engineers through quality systematic technical education. To meet rapidly changing technical as well as industrial needs through continuous updating of curriculum and development facilities.
